Downtown Arboretum

LOCATION:
On both sides of the 200 block of Washington Street around the library and Paddock Mansion

DATE:
Began in 2003 and ongoing

NARRATIVE:
The Downtown Arboretum was developed by the City’s Street Tree Advisory Board as a way to show residents and visitors the unique variety of tree species that are located within the 200 Block of Washington Street. Over 30 different varieties and species of trees have been identified in this area.

The arboretum promotes increased appreciation of city trees and serves as an educational resource for school children, community groups and residents.
